Ceremony Decor

I'm going to try to keep the decor simple in the church. For the pews I'm just going to put bows on the end of 4 pews. 2 for my family & 2 for Stephen's family.
Around the alter I will have the unity candle table of course. The table is from the church and has In Rememberance of Me engraved on it, I'm not going to over that up. I'm placing a brown table runner on it. I am attaching tulle & some vines on the railing of the steps that lead up to the platform. 2 Candle Operas will be on the platform.Other than that I'm not decorating the church that much.

These will go on the guest book table. They are our 2 favorite engagement pictures :)

Declaraion of Consent

"Who gives this woman to be married today?"
and the bride's father replies," I do".

Ruth 1:16-17

But Ruth said "Do not urge me to leave you or turn back from following you; for where you go, I will go & where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people & your God my God.Where you die I will die & there I will be buried. Thus may the Lord do me & worse if anything but death parts you & me.

Wedding Vows

I, (Name), take you, (Name), to be my wedded (husband/wife); to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, and hereto I pledge you my faithfulness.

After we say our vows we are having a special song sang. From this moment on by Shania Twain.

Unity Candle

Picture
Woohoo! So I went to Hobby Lobby and caught a 50% off sale. I got the This Day I will marry my friend, the one I laugh with, live for, dream with, LOVE Unity Candle Set for $14.50 and then brought a Silver candle holder for $7.50 :)

Unity Candle Ceremony
"The two outside candles have been lighted by their parents to represent their lives to this moment. The lights, representing the faith, wisdom, and love they have received from their parents, are distinct, each burning alone. They light the center candle to symbolize the union of their lives. As this one light burns undivided, so shall their love be one with God. From now on their thoughts shall be for each other rather than for their individual selves. Their joys and sorrows shall be shared alike. Holding hands, they encircle the alter and candle to symbolize the sacrificial nature of their life journey together. May the radiance of this one light and their jouney together be a testimony or their unity."
After the Unity Candle is Lit we will then give our parents roses.

Hands Ceremony

Dear Father, bless the hands that you see before you this day. May they always be held by one another. Give them the strength to hold on during the storms of stress and the dark of disillusionment. Keep them tender and gentle as they nurture each other in their love.
Help these hands to continue building a relationship founded in your grace, rich in caring, and devoted to reaching for your perfection. May Bride’s name and Groom’s name see their four hands as healer, protector, shelter, and guide.
We ask this in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you now and forever. Amen.

End of Service

We will then be pronounced husband and wife.
"You may now kiss your bride"
.... Mr & Mrs....
Then we're asking our pastor to invite our guests to the reception and then everyone is dismissed.
