Starting out I wanted to have a HUGE wedding.
My cousin had a wedding not too long ago and it cost right at $125,000. Yeah I wanted that but reality sat in and I didn't have that kind of money to just blow. So we put ourselves on a budget and vowed not to come off of that budget. My parents & Stephen's parents along with ourselves paid for the wedding. We saved money in ways you wouldn't believe though so I thought I would share how we did it.

I wanted a barn wedding but after searching I couldn't find a barn we finally decided on a church wedding so we're having our wedding at our church and it only cost of $50.

Our officant is a close friend of ours at church and our wedding will be his first. We're giving him a donation.

Our reception is a family owned community center (Stephen's family) reception site cost us $60

Our after party site is $125 and we will get back $75 the day we turn the key in.

I DIY'd alot of things including cake topper, bouquets, boutineers, bubble basket, signs, centerepieces and so on.

When my mom's best friend found out we were getting married she offered to make our cake (any cake) free of charge. But we're giving her a donation.

Stephen's cake is getting made by a friend- $60

We're not having a DJ (just not our style) instead we're using an ipod.

The bridesmaids dresses were made. I didn't see the use in making them spend money when both our mom's our seamtress and offered to make the dresses along with flowergirl dresses.

Our reception is at 3 so we're not having a full course meal.

We spent time looking for the best deals & got them.

All in all our wedding is going to be beautiful but it didn't put us in debt by no means.
