A friend of ours is making both garters for me. I have to pick them up the Monday before the wedding.
I love keeping cards so after the wedding I wanted a way to keep all my cards together instead of just putting them in a box. I came across this one day and loved it so after the wedding I am going to make it :)

Birdcage for Reception
I brough this at a thrift store All i need to do is clean up and attach a couple of ribbons and I figure I will be done.
Stephen found this while searching one night online ( we are HUGE Alabama Football Fans) Anyways this is on Etsy and I love it...but I didn't love the price. I think it was like $60 I just couldn't see paying that much for a cake topper. So we decided against it.Then one day we were going through some stuff my mom brought and....
....she brought this. Its the same cake topper just without all the football stuff. She paid $2.00 for it on discount.Stephen's mom printed out the Alabama Circle onto cardstock and I just have to attach it and I have to order the football helmet still. I found a WAX football (its a candle) and I glued it with some superglue. Now I just have to paint the girls hair & attach everything and it will be finished. We will not use this to go onto a cake it will just be sitting on his groom's table.WOO I'm finished...well almost all I have to do now is paint her hair brown! :)
Vista Print is Amazing!
Alot of knotties are doing photoupload cards and I loved the idea. So I went to vista print & came up with this design (it kinda fits our color scheme) I ordered the business cards, 250 of them for Free.
Now I'm just waiting for them to come in & decide where I'm going to put them.
This is A Bag it says Future Mrs. McAlister August 28th,2010. I also got this from Vista Print for free (yes I love freebies).
I think I am going to make this my day of survial kit bag. I'm waiting for it to come in & then I have to figure out what all I'm going to fill it with. Once I do, I will let you know!

I still have to make our wedding coloring books that I'm having at the reception for kids 10 and under. I am attaching crayons that I got from WalMart from the back to school sale. Once I get them done, I will post pics.
Wooden Guestbook
So if you read my post on the DIY board you probably remember the story. I was sitting staring at the computer one night looking for a guestbook and Stephen & I both hated any ideas we saw. Then I was like baby! We can make it! Ha my plans...is to get some 1/4 wood cut it to the size I need, stain it, possibly engrave SML on the front. drill 3 holes on the sides,front & back,stain some computer paper with coffee,to make it look old and tie it all together with ribbion or rope.
